Multiple hospitality position available in Ayton, Cape York QLD

Our Family owned and operated General Store and Café is seeking Full time Cooks, Barista’s and Retail Manager for our busy store. We are in a very remote town in Cape York call Ayton. We have Single on site accommodation available; we are looking for long term employees for at least 5 years. Australians only encouraged to apply. Preferred those who have extensive experience in living in very remote communities for long term. Multi positions available.

Full time position 38 Hours a week. Salary ranges $65 000 - $77 000 per annum depending on Position and qualifications.

Cook Duties

• Prepare a range of high-quality meals for our customers

• Help estimate stock requirements

• Clean food preparation areas and maintain hygiene standards

• Prepare cooking ingredients

• Prepare food using our approved recipes

• Maintain customer expectations and accommodate guests with allergies

• Monitor ingredient quality for freshness

• Monitor stock levels

• Operate kitchen appliances and cooking apparatus

• Portion and present food according to our expectations

• Supervise kitchen hands

Barista Duties

· Preparing and Serving Beverages

· Taking orders and Completing Transactions

· Maintaining a clean work area

· Greeting Customers, answering questions and addressing customer concerns

· Monitoring Ingredients for freshness and quality

· Monitoring Stock levels

Retail Supervisor Duties

Supervise and overseeing staff. Ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.

Address customer complaints, handle returns, and resolve staff grievances.

Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and ensure prompt and quality service.

Plan and prepare work schedules, assign work schedule and train staff.

Take inventory, order new stock, and ensure goods are correctly priced and displayed.

Contribute to the achievement of sales targets and the overall profitability of the store.

Enforce safety and security procedures to protect employees and customers.
