About the role

Join the FutureCare Now team as a part-time Disability Support Worker in Ballina, NSW. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate actively in their communities. The position involves shift work to ensure our clients receive continuous and comprehensive care.

What you'll be doing

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

Facilitate community access and participation, accompany clients on outings, and support them in social and recreational activities

Advocate for client needs and ensure their rights, choices, and dignity are respected

Collaborate with the client's support network, including families and other care providers, to develop and implement individualised care plans

Maintain accurate client records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures

Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment, and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required

What we're looking for

A Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or a related field, or Minimum 12 months experience.

A strong understanding of person-centred support, with a commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities

A minimum of 20 hours per week.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, and colleagues

Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality, compassionate care and support to individuals with a range of needs and abilities

Licenses/Certifications:

Current Australian P2 or full Driver’s Licence.

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Must reside within the Northern Rivers.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
