Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Italian Language Teacher Assistant to collaborate with our lead teacher in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons tailored to young learners aged 3 to 5. This role is integral to fostering a supportive and stimulating environment that ignites children's curiosity and passion for the Italian language.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support & Learning Facilitation: Assist in delivering structured language lessons using songs, stories, games, and hands-on activities. Provide individual and small-group support to reinforce learning.
Child Supervision & Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of children during activities. Support positive behavior management strategies.
Classroom Preparation & Organization: Help set up and clean up learning spaces. Prepare materials and resources for language activities.
Communication & Teamwork: Work closely with the Lead Teacher to meet lesson objectives. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education or related qualification (or in progress).
First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience with children aged 3-5 in education or childcare.
Knowledge of early childhood development and teaching strategies.
Passion for working with young children.
Excellent communication skills.
Patience, enthusiasm, warm personality.
Team player.
Native Italian or minimum C1 proficiency.
Working with Children’s Check.
Current full/probationary driver’s license.
Right to work in Australia.
Weekend Availability Required within school terms from 9am-1pm
