About the role

As an integral member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of Early Childhood Education units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and contribute to the institutes research program and administrative functions.

At Level C you will:

• provide leadership in developing, teaching, coordinating, and moderating units;
• undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
• supervise students undertaking project units and higher degrees in research; and
• make a significant contribution to research or scholarship of learning and teaching activities.

At Level D you will:

• make a significant contribution to developing, teaching, coordinating, and moderating units;
• provide leadership for the development, implementation and monitoring of student retention and success;
• undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students; and
• participate in team projects and various committee meetings as required.

About you

You will work as part of the Institute's team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the Institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem-solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.

At level C you will possess:

• demonstrated commitment to Early Childhood Education and enthusiasm for teaching and learning;
• capacity to teach units in: Early Childhood Education, and Primary Initial Teacher Education;
• demonstrated record of research / scholarship at a national level; and
• capacity to supervise postgraduate students in coursework masters and higher degrees in research.

At level D you will possess:

• demonstrated leadership skills and University administrative experience;
• demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for learning and teaching;
• national or international record of achievement in research; and
• significant record of achievement in the supervision of masters and doctoral students.
