About the role

This position is based in Armidale, NSW and will provide strategic support and leadership in the School of Education.

As a teaching focused Lecturer in Early Childhood Education, you will work with a highly productive team who teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

The following will be essential to demonstrate achievement:

Delivering high impact research or digital dominance

Outstanding student experience and creating a bold and innovative culture.

You will be required to align with the UNE’s Strategic Plan, Future Fit 2021 – 2030 and its goals of facilitating Personalised Learning Journeys, Empowering Communities and Building Resilience.

About you

We are seeking a dynamic early childhood education specialist to join our team at UNE. The ideal candidate will hold (or be near completion of) a doctoral qualification in Early Childhood Education, complemented by formal teaching qualifications and demonstrated experience in early childhood settings. You will bring a comprehensive understanding of contemporary early childhood theories, policies, and practices, with the ability to engage with current international and national trends and reforms in the field.

Your experience in both face-to-face and online tertiary teaching will be valuable, as will your commitment to creating inclusive curricula that responds to the interests and needs of Indigenous students.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in team environments are essential.

This role is based in Armidale, NSW, and the successful candidate must be willing to relocate to this vibrant regional centre."
