Located in Croydon, Hargo Engineering is a family-owned, AS9100 certified precision CNC manufacturing company that manufactures components for customers in the global defence, aerospace, oil & gas, medical, automotive and security sectors. We are an Australian manufacturer with a global reputation for delivering components of exceptional quality.
We are currently seeking to fill a full-time Team Leader/Setter position in our small / medium CNC Lathe production team to spearhead the manufacture of high precision components for our global customers. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate a team of machinists in collaboration with the Production Supervisor.
Set up and operate Swiss sliding head CNC machines to manufacture precision parts to detailed specifications.
Work within either our large or small machine teams, depending on your experience and fit.
Ensure production targets and quality standards are met efficiently and safely.
What We’re Looking For:
Trade-qualified CNC machinist (Cert III in Engineering or equivalent).
Proven experience in CNC programming and tool setting, ideally with Swiss sliding head machines.
Skilled in setting and operating multi-axis twin spindle lathes and two-pallet mills (e.g., Seiki, Okuma).
Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacture parts to exacting tolerances.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
Experience working within an accredited quality system.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Willingness to adapt to changing projects and priorities.
Able to use a variety of measuring tools and conduct in-process and final inspections with the Quality team.

Hours:
This is a full-time position working 38 hours a week.
Monday to Thursday 7.00am – 3.30pm.
Friday 7.00am – 1.00pm.
