The Opportunity
This position will carry out a hands-on role delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operations of civil maintenance and construction activities under general supervision.

Position Remuneration: LGEA Level 4 inclusive of Construction Workers Allowance (CWA) ($65,653 base annual salary which is inclusive of CWA) / ($74,522 total remuneration package which is based on a permanent full-time employee and inclusive of 12% employer superannuation and 17.5% leave loading).

About You
You will have the ability to undertake a hands-on role in the delivery of tree, landscape, civil maintenance or minor construction tasks.
You will have the knowledge and ability to use/operate relevant civil construction tools, plant and machinery.
Furthermore, but not limited to, you will understand Workplace Health & Safety requirements and work practices.
The position's focus will be:
General construction and maintenance labouring tasks associated with, but not limited to:
Concreting
Kerb and channelling
Stormwater drainage
Roads
Roadside assets
Bridges
Foreshores and reserves
Removal and disposal of litter/debris.
Drive rigid motor vehicle up to 11 tonne GVM.
Operate any assigned machinery and equipment in a safe manner and escalate any maintenance issues to the relevant ganger/supervisor.
Work effectively as a member of a high performing work team and ensuring the provision of quality customer service at all times.
Ensure that all work is carried out in a timely manner to the required quality standards.
Provide after-hours assistance during emergencies such as floods, bushfires and natural disasters.
Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.
