FourQuarters has partnered with an established and industry leading organisation with a national footprint who are seeking a Senior Accountant for a 6-8 week contract as part of a new system implementation.

The Role

As the Senior Accountant you will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for implementing their lease accounting as part of a recent system implementation.

Duties and responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of lease accounting processes under relevant standards into a new financial system
• Work cross-functionally with finance, IT, and operations teams to ensure accurate data migration and configuration
• Develop and maintain lease schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Assist in the selection, configuration, and testing of lease accounting modules or software
• Provide training and support to finance staff on the new system and processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control policies
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to leases

About You

• You will have tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline
• You will be CA/CPA qualified
• Previous experience with lease accounting and a strong understanding of accounting standards
• Experience with system implementation and D365 is highly desired
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• You will possess high attention to detail with the ability to priortise tasks
