Electrical Security Technician

📍Cairns - $45-$55 ph + Super + Vehicle + Fuel Card

APAC FM is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join one of our global clients in Cairns. In this exciting and hands-on role, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a range of electronic security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and intercoms across defence and commercial sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Service and maintain electronic security systems including CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and intercoms

Replace faulty components, perform software/firmware updates, ensure compliance with industry standards

Conduct pre-commissioning and full commissioning of new installations

Maintain accurate service records, inspection logs, and repair documentation

Liaise directly with clients, ensuring professional service delivery

Operate autonomously across defence and commercial environments

Access Control & Alarms: Gallagher, Tecom, Inner Range Integriti

Fire & Detection Systems: Notifier, Ampac

Integrated Solutions: Honeywell security platforms

What You’ll Need:

Valid Security Licence & Open Cabling Licence

Restricted Electrical Licence (highly regarded)

Experience with CCTV, alarms, access control, and intercoms

Ability to obtain Police Check, Medical Clearance, and NV1 Security Clearance

LVR & CPR certification (highly desirable)

White Card, EWP, and Working with Children Check (bonus)
