Job Opportunity

We currently seeking an experience National field Technician that has the technical aptitude to support major drilling projects within Australia. You must be able to identify technical issues plus have strong technical understanding of engines, hydraulics, and pneumatics and CANBUS control systems. If you can understand electrical systems this would be a massive advantage. Preventative maintenance and breakdown repair of the above products is key to this position within Sydney.

In this position you will required to do the following

Daily tasks & duties -

· Diagnose CANBUS electrical faults

· Work on electric over hydraulic systems

· Provide Mechatronic application on all rigs

· Read electrical and mechanical schematics

· Repair & Maintenance of foundation, Pilling and Mobile Crawler Cranes with Hammer Attachments and auxiliary equipment

· Diagnostics & Trouble Shooting

· Problem solving

· Overall, inspect and repair of machinery

· Coordinate with factory and workshop on technical issues

· Communicate effectively with parts department

· Order and control of all customer issues

· Develop leads of external sales staff

· Travel nationally for training & development programmes

· Provide support to electrical and mechanical systems, some of this equipment is run through Canbus systems which will need you to diagnose through plug in applications.

It’s essential that you can travel throughout Australia and provide technical engineering to key customers. At the same time implementing new technology and leading from the front is the key to your success. You will work remotely from time to time. Some of the works can be completed in the workshop but majority will be in an around major metro areas like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Key Requirements –

The ideal candidate would have a mechatronic background and be highly technical when is comes to electrical CANBUS control. You MUST have exceptional experience with this equipment.

5 – 10 years within Field Service within heavy mobile equipment

Mechanical Trade background with further qualifications in electric over hydraulic.

Diagnostic experience

Hydrostatic experience

Strong Background in hydraulics systems & mobile equipment

Exceptional at trouble shooting and problem-solving technical problems.

Excellent attention to detail

Strong communication skills

Willingness to travel throughout Australia.

You will also be sent to Europe for inhouse training twice a year.

If you have experience working on Foundation or Pilling rigs this would be a huge advantage.

Monday to Friday (7:30 to 4:00pm)
