What you'll be doing

As a Commis Chef in our Banquets Kitchen, you will be responsible to prepare consistent , high quality food products in line with Hyatt Standards. Some of the responsibilities include:

Assisting senior chefs in the preparation, cooking and presentation of a wide variety of dishes

Ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen

Participating in menu development and the testing of new recipes

Maintaining a clean and organised workstation

Providing support to the wider kitchen team as required

What we're looking for

Formal culinary training and/or a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Commis Chef or similar role

A passion for food and a keen eye for detail

Strong time management and multitasking abilities

A team player with excellent communication skills

An understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
