About the Opportunity

HighlandsXpress is a small, family-run furniture removal business based in Pemulwuy, looking to grow our team with a professional Furniture Removalist who holds a valid Medium Rigid (MR) licence.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary, and the chance to grow with a small local transport business that takes pride in looking after its customers.

Key Responsibilities

Load and unload at the warehouse, ensuring all goods are protected, using manual handling or a walkie stacker when required.

Pick-up and deliver to properties, always protecting and caring for goods and the client’s premises.

Adhere to all company and site-specific safety procedures.

Complete mostly local and occasional long-distance pick-ups and deliveries.

Carry out customer VIP services, such as blanket wrapping and furniture assembly when required.

Maintain the vehicle’s cleanliness and safety.

Lead by example and delegate tasks to the off-sider, ensuring all deliveries and pick-ups are completed safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Valid MR (Medium Rigid) licence with a clean driving record.

Experience driving 3 to 6-ton trucks.

2+ years’ experience in furniture removals or similar delivery roles.

Experience using a walkie stacker (preferred).

Sound knowledge of the Sydney area.

Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting safely.

Able to cope with the physical demands of the job and committed to safety.

A friendly attitude, good communication, and excellent interpersonal skills to engage with customers.

Reliable, trustworthy, and flexible, with a positive, can-do attitude.

Attention to detail and the ability to work well in a small team.

Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or tasks.

Available Monday to Friday for 7:30 am starts.
