About the role

Tropic Tours' is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide Driver to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. As a casual Tour Guide Driver, you will be responsible for providing engaging and informative tours to our visitors, showcasing the natural wonders of the region. The role involves driving tour vehicles and guiding groups of tourists through various attractions and landmarks.

What you'll be doing

Driving tour vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations

Providing informative and entertaining commentary about Eco Tourism, local history, culture, and natural environment

Assisting customers with boarding and disembarking the vehicle, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the tour

Answering questions and addressing any concerns or feedback from customers

Maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times

Collaborating with our partners to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for our guests

What we're looking for

Previous experience as a Tour Guide or in a customer-facing role in the tourism industry

Strong knowledge of the local area and its attractions, history, and culture

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact with people from diverse backgrounds

A valid driver's authority licence

A friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused approach

Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and during peak tourism seasons

We are dedicated to showcasing the natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and unique wildlife of this stunning part of Australia. Tour locations include the Daintree, The Atherton Tablelands and the Cassowary Coast offering small group shared experiences and private tours of 4 to 11 passengers.
