About the Role

A rare opportunity has emerged for a Key Account Manager to join the NSW team. This role is based in Sydney and will primarily involve travel throughout the metro area, managing a mix of existing clients and prospective accounts. You will be responsible for maintaining long-term key relationships while driving new business growth across new equipment sales, short and long-term hire agreements, and periodic service contracts. You’ll have the autonomy to plan your week across field visits, work-from-home admin, and team collaboration. This is a relationship-driven role where your technical understanding and ability to develop tailored material handling solutions will be essential. Key duties include:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders across the Sydney region
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across forklift sales, equipment rental, and service agreements
  • Qualify leads generated through digital campaigns, telemarketing, and inbound enquiries
  • Conduct site visits and product demonstrations to assess client needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and follow-ups to ensure seamless customer onboarding
  • Collaborate with internal departments including sales, marketing, service, and logistics to ensure timely delivery and service fulfilment
  • Report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends to support planning and forecasting
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as required

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in material handling, industrial equipment, or plant hire industries
  • Experience selling or renting forklifts, EWPs, telehandlers, scissor lifts, or similar capital equipment is highly regarded
  • Alternatively, experience selling into warehousing sectors (e.g. pallet racking, packaging supplies, safety systems) will be considered
  • Strong ability to understand technical products and translate features into customer value
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
  • Valid driver’s licence and full working rights in Australia
