I’m representing a global infrastructure business delivering one of Australia’s largest transmission infrastructure projects, critical to supporting our country's energy transition target.
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Deputy Project Director to help lead the delivery of a complex, large-scale transmission project. You’ll bring deep experience in infrastructure delivery, ideally from both client and head contractor sides, and have a proven track record in managing stakeholders in a complex JV, alliance or consortium environments.
You’ll play a key role in commercial leadership, construction planning, stakeholder management and JV coordination, as a trusted advisor to the Project Director. This role is Sydney-based, with long-term project stability and career growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project leadership across all delivery phases of a major transmission project
• Oversee contractor performance, construction sequencing and commercial execution
• Lead and coordinate joint venture/consortium activities
• Own project P&L reporting and performance
• Act as a senior interface to clients, partners and executive stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards

Requirements

• Minimum 15+ years' experience delivering large-scale infrastructure projects ($500m+ preferred)
• Strong background with EPCs or head contractors; owner-side experience valued
• Executive-level commercial and P&L responsibility
• Deep understanding of consortium/JV project environments
• Energy, HV, or transmission experience highly regarded
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making capability
