About You

You will be a motivated and professional hospitality-minded specialist that contributes in improving the quality of life for village residents living and working away from home. With a ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to be flexible on site you thrive on responsibility and are accountable for your results – taking full personal ownership of the role.

The Core Accountabilities of the Position are:

Picking people up from the airport, driving them to the camp village and then to the mine site on a daily basis.

General housekeeping on mine site and cleaning of rooms, buildings, equipment and common/public areas.

Ensure that the highest achievable quality of work is maintained across all Catering services.

Any other duties as and when required, provided the employee has the required training/certification/licensing to carry out these duties in a safe manner. This also includes assisting other departments within the Village Operations to achieve the required outcome if and when required

To be successful, you will have:

Essential

Have a can do attitude and able to complete manual handling tasks with a keen safety awareness.

A Handy person - basic maintenance skill.

Mine site driving experience

Able to drive a bus (25-seater coaster)

Australian Citizenship, or full Australian working rights

A valid /MR/HR Australian Driver’s License

National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months of applying)

White Card

Able to pass a medical and drug screen

Desired

A valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011- Provide First Aid)- issued within last 3 years

Demonstrated experience in a FIFO village environment

Forklift License (LF)
