About the role
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing MND Queensland’s volunteer-led programs and expanding community engagement opportunities across the state. This includes the management, growth, and innovation of services that connect volunteers with clients, especially in regional areas.
What you'll be doing
Using Better Impact Volunteer Management System to coordinate and develop all existing volunteer-led programs including:
- Legacy Program (formerly Life Stories)
- Peer Support: Lawn Services, Helping Hands
- Social Support: Face-to-face, Virtual, Telecare
- Student Placements: Tertiary and Allied Health
- Work Experience: High School Active Volunteering – Certificate II
- Administration: HQ Admin and Office Support, Data Entry, Research and Resourcing (Allied Health)
- Equipment Hire and Warehousing Volunteer
- Events and Fundraising Volunteer
- MiNDAUS
- Community Fundraising Program
· Scope, plan, and implement new community-based volunteering programs to address emerging client needs, especially in regional Queensland.
· Work collaboratively with the Volunteer Coordinator to match volunteer skillsets with program needs.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure volunteer placements meet program needs.
· Liaise with stakeholders to identify partnership opportunities that grow MND Queensland’s community presence.
· Evaluate program outcomes and report on impact, reach, and volunteer contribution.
· Create training and resource materials to support the ongoing delivery and growth of programs.
· Represent MND Queensland at external meetings, regional forums, and community engagement events.
· Drive innovation by identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for future programs and services.
· Advocate for the importance of volunteers internally and externally.
What we're looking for
Demonstrated experience in volunteer program coordination and community engagement, ideally within the not-for-profit or community services sector
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
Passion for supporting people in need and a commitment to the mission and values of Motor Neurone Disease Assn Queensland
Knowledge of the local community and existing connections within the Oxley area would be highly regarded
