Foster Carer Assessor – Fee for service contractor - (Adelaide)

Seeking applications from independent assessors on a fee-for-service basis to visit, evaluate and train prospective foster carers.

About the role

Key Assets South Australia is seeking applications from independent Social Workers to undertake competence-based assessments on prospective foster carers using the Association of Child Welfare Agencies 'Step by Step' assessment tool.

We're looking for applicants who have prior experience of producing assessment reports in relation to fostering, adoption and/or children and families work, have own transport and willing to travel.

To be considered, you will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work which would meet the requirements of validation by the AASW, excellent report-writing skills for this role, as well as hold an accreditation in Step-by-Step 2017.

We offer a competitive fee per assessment and a mileage allowance. We also provide practical assistance, induction and consultation time during the assessment process.

Skills required:

Hold an accreditation in Step-by-Step 2017 or be working towards one

Tertiary qualification in Social work

Proven prior experience of producing high quality assessment reports

Have an open clean SA drivers licence, access to own vehicle and be willing to travel.

Statutory and Working with Children checks will be undertaken or validated.
