About the role

Lismore FoodWorks is looking for a results-driven and experienced Retail Manager to lead the daily operations of our store. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in retail management, product strategy, and team leadership. You will be responsible for optimising store performance, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Inventory Management:

Determine appropriate product mix and stock levels to meet customer demand

Maintain accurate inventory and financial transaction records

Ensure service standards are consistently met

Purchasing & Pricing Strategy:

Formulate and implement purchasing and pricing policies

Monitor supplier performance and negotiate effectively

Marketing & Promotion:

Plan and execute in-store promotions and advertising campaigns

Promote store offerings and seasonal events to maximise foot traffic and sales

Sales & Customer Service:

Sell goods and provide advice to customers on product use

Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints professionally

Financial & Operational Management:

Prepare and manage store budgets

Monitor expenses and profitability to ensure financial goals are achieved

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate team performance

Create a positive and productive work environment

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure all operations comply with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized retail space

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in a similar retail management role

Strong understanding of inventory, pricing, and marketing principles

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Customer-focused approach with strong sales abilities

Proficient in POS and retail management systems

Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards
