Equine Veterinarian – Full-time

REC Equine Specialists is accepting applications for full-time Veterinarians that are interested in a role in equine medicine, surgery, and imaging. Location: Horsley NSW.

REC Equine Specialists is an equine practice servicing a wide range of horses and ponies from miniature to elite race and sport horses. Although we have a proud history of extensive experience servicing the Thoroughbred Racing industry, a wide array of breeds and conditions are treated daily provide the best possible surgical and medical care for the horses of NSW and beyond.

Our practice of registered equine specialist’s service the fields of surgery, medicine, and anesthesia. Our hospital caseload encompasses a combination of referral and primary accessions.

The position will involve a mix of Thoroughbred racetrack, sport and pleasure horse ambulatory and hospital-based work. The caseload is varied though has a strong lameness and diagnostic imaging emphasis and includes yearling survey radiography. The successful applicant will be provided with excellent portable radiography, ultrasonography, and video-endoscopy equipment.

REC Equine Specialists has a strong mentoring and professional support program as well as encouraging ambulatory associates to integrate with our fully equipped hospital and support from a very experienced team of veterinarians, including specialists in the fields of sports medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and anaesthesia.

Applicants must be enthusiastic, motivated, and keen to make the most of the position in our busy high-profile equine practice.

Applicants must have a Veterinary degree and be registered with the Veterinary Practitioners Board in NSW. Applicants need to demonstrate they have at least 2 years equine experience.

Salary range will be $75,000 - over $100,000
