Posted 24 days ago
We are looking for a Full Time Registered Nurse with General Practice nursing experience. You will lead our small team of nurses and provide support to our team of seven GPs in our Fitzroy North clinic.
Who We Are:
The Neighbourhood Clinic is a vibrant multi-modal private medical centre with a focus on providing the best possible care for our patients and the best working conditions for our team. Our close-knit team includes GPs, osteopathy, psychology, dietetics, acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
We have an excellent staff room and courtyard, where we enjoy team lunches. We hold regular social events and in-house professional development opportunities. You will be working in a supportive inclusive environment that promotes career progression. Lifestyle, a great team culture and enjoying our work is important to us, and hopefully to you.
The clinic is housed in a beautiful high ceilinged old bank in the heart of Fitzroy North. The consultation rooms are spacious and filled with natural light, art and indoor plants. We are close to cafes, public transport and parks.
Our patients and team are lovely locals that reflect the diversity and values of the area. We welcome people of all ages, races and LGBTIQ+ communities.
The Role:
To be considered, you must be a Registered Nurse with Monday-Friday availability and General Practice nursing experience. Our ideal candidate would also have experience leading a team, and possess an excellent understanding of nursing in a GP clinic.

We need someone who shows initiative, is flexible in times of change and is able to prioritise their workload and time. You must have superior communication skills and be able to delegate effectively and motivate your team. The successful candidate will work alongside the leadership team on quality improvement initiatives, process enhancements and support with accreditation.
The responsibilities of the role include:
Clinical tasks such as triaging, immunisations, venepuncture, ECGs
Assisting with minor procedures such as wound care, iron infusions, IUDs, ear irrigation
Health assessments, chronic care management and patient education
Using (and mastering) Best Practice and AutoMed software
Leading our cold chain and infection control procedures
Maintaining clinical supplies, including stock ordering
Managing recall and reminder systems
Recruitment and HR management of the nursing team (supported by the Practice Manager)
Quality improvement projects
If you are interested, please submit a tailored cover letter outlining your suitability for this role and a current CV. Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted, and interviews may commence ASAP
