Position summary:
The Anodyne Nurse is one who is professional, motivated, organised, and friendly. The Nurse can multitask, prioritise workload, work under pressure and work as part of a team as well as autonomously. The Nurse will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide care for patients undergoing ketamine infusion therapy for treatment-resistant pain and mental health conditions.

Anodyne is a specialist pain medicine and psychiatry clinic. Anodyne takes a holistic approach to pain management, with a vision to expand areas of expertise across all medical and non-medical approaches that will ultimately benefit the patient and guide them on their journey to recovery.
Key responsibilities:
An employee at this level is required to perform general nursing duties AND is required to perform the following duties, but are not confined to:
Works within a private specialist multidisciplinary team to deliver quality evidence-based nursing care under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Consultant;
Provide appropriate patient assessments, accurate documentation and clear communication to optimise patient outcomes;
Providing education and counselling promoting health status improvement of patients;
Accepting accountability for the employee’s own standards of nursing care and service delivery;
Maintains safe nursing and complies with relevant governing Regulations, Acts, Codes and Policies;
Engages in continuing professional development/education to develop own skills and knowledge and to ensure currency of registration;
Demonstrates sound ethics and is accountable for own practice;
Completes mandatory training (including safety and quality training) as relevant to the role;
Available to work across multiple sites;
Willing to travel interstate for training; and
Other duties as requested.

Essential skills:
Demonstrates quality and risk management principles within practice
Ability to multi-task, set priorities and monitor workflow.

Effective interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Desirable skills:
Medication endorsement with S8 and IV medication competency.
IV cannulation competency
Basic Life Support certification
Experience working in an outpatient Specialist Medical practice setting.
Experience working as a Nurse in mental health, pain management, medical, and/or surgical specialties.
Experience with Gentu medical practice software and Microsoft 365 Applications.
Appointment pre-requisites:
Registered as an Enrolled Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Provision of the minimum identity proofing requirements.
Successful National Police Clearance / Criminal Record Screening Clearance.
Successful Working with Children Check
Undertake a pre-employment interview
