About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive professional to join our team in a pivotal role supporting industry engagement and apprenticeship coordination across the Gippsland region.

This role will be responsible for fostering strong, collaborative relationships with organisations throughout Gippsland to position TAFE Gippsland as the preferred training provider within the trade industry. The successful candidate will engage with employers and industry stakeholders to facilitate apprentice sign-ups, working closely with the relevant departments to ensure a seamless onboarding process.

Key responsibilities include conducting regular industry consultations, maintaining accurate and timely records of industry contact and apprentice sign-up activities, and ensuring all Institute timelines are met in collaboration with the Program Managers.

A key aspect of the role will be to maintain ongoing communication with employers to review apprentice progress, assess course content for industry alignment, and provide ongoing support to business. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution on workforce development in the region by supporting industry partnerships and contributing to the growth of skilled trades professionals.

About You

You are an enthusiastic and driven professional with a passion for industry engagement and supporting vocational education. With strong connections or experience in the Trades sector, you bring a deep understanding of the needs and expectations of employers and apprentices.

You possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Your ability to navigate complex business processes, deliver high quality administrative support, and manage multiple priorities ensures a seamless experience for apprentices and employers throughout the learning journey.

You take initiative, work well both independently and collaboratively, and are committed to continuous improvement. Your strong organisational and time management skills, along with your attention to detail and knowledge of industry standards, make you a trusted point of contact for coordinating apprentice sign-ups and industry consultations.

Your Experience and Qualifications

Demonstrated experience working with or alongside established networks in the Trades sector

Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

Strong background in administrative or coordination roles

High level communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with databases and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
