This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities. Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.

The child is at the centre of everything we do and the way we do it.

Wynyard High School, nestled near the banks of the Inglis River, offers a memorable and inclusive education for students from Years 7-12.

Wynyard High School is dedicated to providing students with every possible opportunity to succeed.

Being part of a small community, the school curriculum encourages students to engage with their town and take part. From entering livestock and student-grown vegetables in the Wynyard Show to diving into the waves at the annual Surf Carnival, learning here goes beyond the classroom.

Wynyard High School is more than just a place of learning; it's a community dedicated to empowering young people.
