About the role

Mentone Smiles is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team in the Bayside Suburbs of Melbourne, VIC. This is a part-time role that will involve providing administrative and clinical support to our dental professionals.

What you'll be doing

Assisting dentists during examinations and procedures

Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment

Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies

Greeting and welcoming patients, managing appointment schedules, and providing excellent customer service

Performing basic administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls

Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

A Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification

At least 1 year of experience working as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients and the dental team

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

A collaborative and flexible approach, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills

Proficiency in using dental software and computer systems
