About the Role
As the Sustainability Engagement Officer, you will prepare and implement the Sustainability and Environment teams annual Education and Events program.
This will involve developing and delivering tailored education programs for community groups, business, industry and schools with respect to sustainability, biodiversity and climate issues. The role will also involve liaising with community groups and committees.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Degree or diploma in Environmental Management/Education, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, or other relevant field or lesser qualification with relevant experience and work skills.
- Relevant experience in developing and implementing public education programs.
- Developed communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences.
- Capacity to build effective relationships, gaining cooperation and assistance from internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs and other computer programs.
- Successful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children's Check.
