The Role

Joining a passionate non-profit organisation with strong values, vision and culture, this varied part-time role will deliver accounting, payroll, financial management and administration to support a small-scale organisation with a meaningful global impact.

Main responsibilities include:

• Preparation of financial reports, accounts payable, accounts receivable and recordkeeping
• Annual audit compliance/preparation
• Assist in the processing of payroll, tax and superannuation
• Month-end processing and ad hoc financial analysis
• Administrative assistance in the yearly audit process and the end of financial year close
• Other ad hoc financial processing duties

Requirements

• Strong experience (at least 3 years) in a relevant finance and/or accounting support role
• A demonstrated working knowledge of financial management and accounting principles
• A strong communicator, who is able to work cohesively with various staff members across the organisation including answering queries
• Proficient with systems, particularly financial and payroll system functionality
• An excellent work ethic, with initiative and the ability to work autonomously under a supportive manager
• Highly organised, with a commitment to always going above and beyond for the team and a strong level of attention to detail when executing payroll, accounting and finance duties
• Team-oriented, with a can-do, solutions-focused and process-improvement approach
• Experience in assisting with the implementation or improvement of a payroll or accounting software highly regarded
