Finance Officer – End-to-End Brewery Finance

Spinifex Brewing Co is a proudly independent WA-based brewery and award-winning venue operator. As we consolidate operations at our Nambeelup production hub, we’re seeking a hands-on Finance Officer to take ownership of the end-to-end finance function for our parent company.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is critical in ensuring financial operations are accurate, timely, and aligned with our commercial goals. You’ll manage everything from transaction processing to reporting — with support from our external accountants.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end accounts management using Xero, Lightyear, and Hubdoc

Interaction with CRM (BrewMan) for sales orders

Accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, BAS preparation, P&L

Payroll processing and superannuation compliance

Weekly cashflow tracking and budget forecasting

Monthly sales analysis and reporting

Cost optimisation and profitability analysis

Inventory cost tracking in coordination with production and sales teams

Assist with month-end close and board reporting

Liaison with suppliers, distributors, and finance consultants

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping

Proficient with Xero and cloud-based financial systems

Understanding of inventory management and cost-of-goods tracking

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an end-to-end financial/accounts role

Understanding of GST, BAS, Superannuation and Payroll Tax

Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations)

Detail-oriented, hands-on, and reliable – a doer, not just a delegator

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling SME environment

Strong communicator and team player who can liaise across operations, sales and production

Highly Regarded/Desirable

Degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Business

Strong experience in a product-based business (brewing/manufacturing, FMCG)

Exposure to Deputy HR, Shopify, BrewMan, or similar systems

Prior experience working directly with external accountants or auditors

Knowledge of grant reporting, payroll processing (multiple awards), and cash flow forecasting

Familiarity with cost of goods sold (COGS) and stock control principles
