About the Role

We’re currently seeking an experienced and motivated Building Services Officer to join our team based in South Melbourne. In this full-time position, you will act as a key contact for tenants and maintenance providers—ensuring property-related issues are addressed promptly, professionally, and in line with safety and compliance standards.

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same. You will be supported by a dedicated team working to improve housing outcomes for people in need.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and monitor responsive and scheduled maintenance across the property portfolio

Liaise with tenants, internal teams, and external contractors

Ensure all maintenance works meet safety, quality, and compliance standards

Support property inspections, sustainability upgrades, and capital works projects

Maintain accurate records and reporting for all maintenance activity

About You

To hit the ground running, you will have:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or a similar role

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Experience working with trades, contractors, and external providers

A genuine passion for community-focused work

Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
