About the role

Bardell Excavations Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Civil Construction employee to join our team based in Lyndoch, SA. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of plant and machinery to assist with civil construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills and experience in the construction industry and contribute to the delivery of vital infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing

Operating excavators, backhoes, rollers, Vac Units and other construction equipment to carry out site preparation, earthworks, and undergrounding of utilities

Providing support to the construction crew and assisting with the completion of various civil works

Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on assigned machinery

Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations

Collaborating with the construction team to troubleshoot issues and find efficient solutions

Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to the projects

What we're looking for

Relevant experience in the operation of construction equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, and vac units

Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods and techniques, as well as a strong understanding of safety protocols

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the successful completion of projects

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle challenges that may arise on-site

Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment

A valid driver's licence, first aid cert and a white card would be highly regarded
