Faith Lutheran College Plainland has an outstanding opportunity for a skilled and motivated professional to join a contemporary and progressive Christian secondary school in the role of Information Hub Resource Officer, from 11 June 2025 through to 5 December 2025. The Information Hub Resource Officer plays an important role in overseeing the InfoHub. This includes the day-to-day management of the College’s library services and resources, as well as providing key administrative support regarding the Learning Management System.
The role is temporary full time (term time).
Key Responsibilities

Promotes the mission and ethos of the College
Model appropriate standards of behaviour consistent with the Christian ethos of the College.
Articulate the shared vision and mission of the College.
Undertake the responsibilities of this position in a manner that supports the core values of the college.
Library Services and Resources
Oversee the management and organisation of library resources, including books, digital materials, and periodicals.
Assist students and staff with knowing, locating and accessing library materials, both physical and digital.
Ensure the InfoHub (library space) is conducive to learning and study, maintaining an organised and welcoming environment, and reflects the College’s contemporary learning practices.
Digital Literacy and Research
Lead initiatives to enhance digital literacy skills among students and staff, promoting effective use of technology for learning and research.
Foster an environment that encourages collaboration, communication, and critical thinking in line with contemporary learning practices.
Curate and promote digital resources to support research and information literacy.
Administrative Tasks
Manage the day-to-day operations of the InfoHub, ensuring a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Supervise student workers, assigning tasks and providing training as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute library-related events and programs.
Maintain records and documentation related to library services, resources, and activities.
Other reasonable duties will be required at times beyond the Key Responsibilities. These will be within the scope and skill level of the role and will be determined in consultation with either the Head of Digital Learning or a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
Selection Criteria
The following non-mandatory criteria will be used by the selection panel when short-listing candidates:
Committed to the Christian faith.
An ability to assess efficiency and effectiveness in systems and processes.
A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current and emerging educational trends.
Demonstrated capacity to be an empathetic listener, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
An ability to manage resources on time.
