Job Overview:

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, requirements capture, requirements elaboration, process mapping and functional design of the ZapCentral product suite. This will require engagement with cross-business stakeholders and vendors to ensure that a suitable end-to-end technology-enabled solution is developed to support existing and new projects.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Engage and liaise professionally and collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Senior Leadership Team, Delivery Teams, Brokers, Insurers and other internal stakeholders, to understand and document technical, functional and non-functional requirements

Facilitate workshops, meetings and working groups with appropriate stakeholders

Contribute to the breakdown of complex technical and business problems into epics, features and user stories with meaningful acceptance criteria and other supporting artefacts

Elicit and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements; maintain product backlog; develop user stories and acceptance criteria; develop use cases and map processes

Conduct gap analysis and present summary of findings

Conduct in-depth analysis, process mapping, and workflow documentation to identify opportunities for standardisation and optimisation

Design process strategies to improve system and business performance

Partner with the Change Manager and Training Manager to assist with the development and delivery of changes

Collaborate on problem-solving efforts and maintain positive dynamics within the team

Contribute to the identification of project risks, issues, and dependencies

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as Senior Business analyst within Insurance or Banking and/or finance

3+ years' work experience as a Senior Technical Business Analyst desirable

Permanent working rights in Australia

Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence)

Knowledge of the Insurance industry is a must

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Strong technical knowledge with extensive business analysis experience

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Experience in creating comprehensive product and technical documentation

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Proven track record of effectively managing challenging situations and customer interactions
