Human Rights Model: Based on basic human rights principles, "it recognises that disability is a natural part of human diversity that must be respected and supported in all its forms. Responsibilities - Residential care Officer:

Conducting client interviews to evaluate the extent of their social, emotional, behavioural, and physical challenges.

Designing, developing, and implementing individualised education, training, and support programs based on client assessments and goals.

Providing assistance to young people and adults to overcome social, emotional, and financial challenges, fostering greater independence and community participation.

Supporting families and delivering education and care to individuals with disabilities across group homes, adult service units, and community settings.

Referring clients to allied health professionals and external agencies to facilitate access to additional therapeutic, welfare, and community resources.

Monitoring client progress by maintaining detailed daily records and preparing comprehensive monthly well-being reports.

Assessing broader community needs and identifying available resources related to housing, healthcare, employment, education, and welfare services.

Building strong partnerships with community organisations, welfare agencies, private businesses, and government bodies to advocate for client needs and raise service awareness.

Supervising and mentoring Disability Support Workers to ensure high standards of care and adherence to organisational policies and best practices.

Preparing grant applications, funding submissions, and formal reports for government and organisational stakeholders to secure resources and support services.

Overseeing and managing the supervision of offenders on probation and parole, when required.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and supervision to residents in supported accommodation, promoting safety, dignity, and participation in meaningful daily activities.

Conduct weekly (or as-needed) home visits to assess service delivery effectiveness and offer hands-on staff support.

Implement safeguarding practices to protect residents’ rights, well-being, and legal entitlements.

Lead monthly team meetings to foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and effective communication among staff.

Deliver crisis support and behavioural interventions, working closely with psychologists and other clinicians to de-escalate incidents and reinforce positive behaviour strategies.

Carry out administrative responsibilities related to reporting, documentation, and strategy development in alignment with participant goals and NDIS guidelines.

Locations:

Tibii proudly operates across the Adelaide metropolitan area and the Adelaide Hills, delivering services to a wide range of suburbs. These include (but are not limited to) Adelaide CBD, Glenelg, Norwood, Prospect, Mawson Lakes, Marion, Aldinga, Noarlunga, Seaford, Henley Beach, Mount Barker, Stirling, Hahndorf, and surrounding regions. Applicants must be flexible and willing to travel across these locations to meet the diverse needs of our community.

Qualifications:

Mandatory

AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma in a related field OR Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in disability support, residential care, aged care or community services. ( Mandatory)

A minimum of one year of experience in the same or a closely related role is essential (Mandatory).

First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).

NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain).

National Police Clearance (valid or within the last 6 months).

Working with Children Check (if applicable).

Desirable (Not Mandatory)

Experience working in an NDIS-registered residential setting.

Training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed care.

Valid Australian Driver’s License.

Salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 AUD.
