• QT Brand awareness & recall growth
• Brand.com room night growth to or greater than OTA
• Media placements - 15% YOY increase on volume of generated media coverage (not including ASR + Reach)
• Social media reach and engagement - 20% YOY increase and 10:1 ROAS for boosted posts and ads
• F&B email database growth YoY & F&B venue profit margin growth YoY
Key Responsibilities
• Align with and support the Group Strategic Plan, QT Newcastle business objectives and campaign calendar including the implementation of marketing campaigns and development of content for social, PR, website, eDM, digital assets and third party sites.
• Drive QT brand growth with local commercial partnerships and local tourism organisations and industry associations.
• Leverage key hotel events including the development of supporting materials, media liaison, branded content opportunities and media collateral.
• Lead QT Newcastl’seach property’s local promotion strategies to ensure growth of room and F&B revenue with local packages and F&B offers.
• Manage data capture and growth of F&B email databases, as well as third-party listings/platforms.
• Support hotel, F&B and C&E teams with collateral development including website management, compendium, menus, signage and app materials.
• Contribute to the development of a National PR & Editorial Calendar and its implementation at a property level.
• Manage local media relations and proactively seek positive PR opportunities and media famils, manage enquiries, press kit development and tactical opportunities in alignment with the QT PR & Editorial Calendar.
• Deliver local PR campaigns, along with tactical pitching and press releases, designed to generate positive publicity for multiple properties and the QT brand as a whole.
• Work alongside QT Brand Manager to manage ongoing relationships with retained PR Agencies including workflow, briefing and daily liaison.
• Manage QT Newcastle’s Social Media Plan and Calendar, including content production, community management and boosting posts, in line with the QT Marketing Campaign and PR & Editorial Calendar.
• Manage QT Newcastle’s influencer strategy and track ROI for each engagement.
• Maintain awards calendar and draft submissions for relevant opportunities.
• Regular reporting, KPI tracking and work-in-progress documentation.
Knowledge
• Highly developed English language skills
• Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or related field
• Excellent knowledge of the Newcastle media landscape
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Hootsuite, Isentia and Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Instagram)
