About Us

At Movement Matters Therapy, we’re more than a service — we’re a movement.

As Central Australia’s leading provider of Exercise Physiology, we deliver trauma-informed, person-centred, and holistic therapy to people of all ages and abilities. From our Alice Springs base to the remote Central Desert, we work across NDIS, My Aged Care, Medicare, Workers Compensation, and Aboriginal Health — making real, measurable change where it’s needed most.

We offer in-clinic and mobile services, and proudly champion better access to healthcare across regional and remote communities. Whether we’re supporting someone living with disability, chronic pain, or mental health challenges, we do it with integrity, connection, and heart.

We believe in a future where everyone has the opportunity to move well and live well — and we’re looking for someone who shares that belief.

Why Join Us?

When you join Movement Matters Therapy, you’ll be supported, inspired, and empowered to make an impact.

Make a difference – Provide meaningful care to people with complex needs in underserved communities.
Live an adventure – Embrace the vibrancy, landscapes, and culture of Central Australia.
Work holistically – Practice in a setting where connection, purpose and flexibility matter.
Be supported – Access mentoring, professional development, and a small, values-led team.
Grow your skills – Broaden your scope with diverse clinical presentations and rural outreach.
Get rewarded – Competitive bonuses, relocation assistance, and scholarship opportunities.

The Role

We’re seeking a compassionate, skilled and adaptable Exercise Physiologist to join our growing team.

This is not your average job. It’s an opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare and community in one of the most culturally diverse and geographically unique regions of Australia.

You will:

Provide holistic, evidence-based exercise interventions that reflect a trauma-informed and person-centred approach.

Support people with disability, chronic illness, pain, neurological or mental health conditions through tailored programs.

Work across funding streams (NDIS, My Aged Care, Workers Comp, Medicare, DVA, Private Health).

Deliver services in our light-filled clinic space and, at times, out in the community or on outreach visits.

Partner with families, support workers and other professionals to achieve great outcomes.

Be part of a movement that advocates for equity and shapes the future of Allied Health in the NT.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re someone who brings:

A strong foundation in clinical reasoning and functional exercise prescription
A commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally safe care
Confidence in communication, collaboration and documentation
A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in a close-knit team

Essential:

Accredited with ESSA (or eligible)

Experience delivering evidence-based programs

Current CPR/First Aid, Ochre Card, Police Clearance, and Driver’s Licence

Desirable:

Experience working with NDIS, aged care, or community clients

Understanding of Central Australian communities and Aboriginal health

Reformer Pilates experience or willingness to train

New graduates and early career professionals are encouraged to apply.

What We Offer

$7,000 relocation assistance (NT PHN)
$10,000 professional development scholarship
$5,000 retention bonus at 2 years, with annual bonuses beyond
Flexible work arrangements for work-life balance
Regular mentoring, team check-ins, and CPD opportunities
A values-driven team that celebrates and supports each other
A chance to live somewhere extraordinary — with wide open skies, red dirt adventures, and rich cultural connection
