This is a Fixed Term, Part Time appointment until 31 December 2025 at 60.8 hours per fortnight, with the possibility of extensions and/or permanency.

Position Profile: Join the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) in promoting lifelong health for children and adolescents! We are seeking a dedicated Senior Aboriginal Health Practitioner to join the Healthy Lifestyle Program. In this role, you will provide culturally safe, holistic clinical care, health education, and promotion to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people, working collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure health equity. Key responsibilities include providing cultural safety, acting as a cultural advisor, conducting health assessments, developing health strategies, and promoting community health and wellbeing.
To be successful, you must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, be registered with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board of Australia and demonstrate experience in providing primary healthcare to Aboriginal people.

About Child & Adolescent Community Health (CACH): Community Health provides health and developmental assessments, early intervention and health promotion services for children and young people.
These services are provided in the community across the Perth metropolitan area at community health centres, in schools, home visits and through telehealth appointments. Services focus on child health, growth and development, behaviour, immunisation and supporting families.

- How would you ensure that you effectively communicate and connect with Aboriginal clients and community members.
- What do you see as some of the health issues affecting Aboriginal clients in terms of living a Healthy Lifestyle?

Other Conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service.
