Principal, Gleeson College

We have an exciting opportunity for the Principal position at Gleeson College, commencing in 2026.

Gleeson College is a Catholic coeducational, secondary college in the Northeast of Adelaide with an enrolment of approximately 940 students. Our school motto ‘With one heart’ says it all. We are a strong community, united in purpose with an excellent workplace culture and wonderful students.

Key Responsibilities:

Visionary Educational Leadership: Develop and articulate a compelling vision for learning and teaching that aligns with our Catholic values. Integrate pastoral care seamlessly into the educational environment, fostering a culture of respect and compassion.

Strategic Planning and Leadership: Articulate and embody a clear vision for the school, guiding staff, students, and the community towards shared goals. Lead strategic planning and decision-making processes that prioritise wellbeing and connection for all students.

Commitment to Excellence and Equity: Demonstrate a strong commitment to improving learning and teaching practices, promoting excellence and equity for all students. Implement strategies that address the diverse needs of our student population, ensuring inclusivity and equal opportunities for success.

One+: Collaborate with Golden Grove High School and Pedare Christian College on the shared facilities offered by all three schools.

Community Engagement: Actively engage in the life of the school community to foster strong, trusting relationships with students, staff and the community.

Monitor the performance and organisational health of the College within its position on the Golden Grove Secondary Schools Campus (One+) to identify ways to improve the educational experience for the Gleeson Community.

Develop a culture of effective teaching and learning, by leading, designing and managing the quality of the educational experiences of all students.

Promote a culture of collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that the school’s vision and strategic plan for improvement are aligned, actioned and realised.

The ability to drive evidence-based school improvement and strategic growth.
