Our client operates a correctional facility that accommodates both high and low-security inmates. The site includes secure residential units for high-security prisoners, as well as a farm complex dedicated to low-security inmates. With a capacity of around 500, the facility focuses on safety, rehabilitation, and structured reintegration programs.

What You Will Be Doing

Provide comprehensive assessments, treatments, and health education

Manage chronic disease, acute illness, and mental health concerns

Coordinate with medical, allied health, and custodial teams

Deliver culturally appropriate care in line with best practice standards

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to continuous quality improvement

What You Will Need

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Valid National Police Check and ability to pass a correctional clearance

Current driver’s licence / Vehicle required as a DIDO position

Evidence of up-to-date vaccinations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chickenpox), Hepatitis B, and Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training – Advanced Life Support (ALS) desirable

You’ll also be required to complete Queensland Health training this is a mandatory requirement
