Townsville Aluminium Fabrications (TAF) is a local family-owned company, based in Currajong, Townsville. We are a leading provider of aluminium fencing, screens, gates, balustrading and handrails across the North Queensland region in both the residential and commercial building industries.

With a number of large metalwork projects on the go, we are looking for an aluminium and stainless steel fabricator to join the team.

Qualifications;

Trade Qualified preferred - Boilermaker / Sheetmetal Fabricator

Construction White Card

Must hold minimum Manual Driver's Licence - MR or HR Licence (Highly Advantageous, but not essential)

Forklift HRWL Desirable

Relevent skills and experience;

Previous welding experience with both aluminium and stainless steel

Punctual and reliable

Great communication skills

Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings

Ability to work safely and effectively unsupervised and within a team

Excellent quality and pride in work

Excellent time management skills

Ability to collaborate in a multi-skilled work environment

Motivated to work with a high attention to detail

Tasks and responsibilities of the role;

All aspects of fabricating metal structures including; cutting, shaping, welding and assembling aluminium structures

Safe operation of hand held power tools and other metalworking machinery

Safe operation of forklift to load and unload vehicles

Provide assistance with QA to production floor coordinator

Provide guidance and assistance to Apprentices and Trades Assistants where required
