About the role

Tetris Group are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker (Tig fabrication) to join our team in Redland Bay, QLD. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of light gauge metal components using advanced TIG welding techniques.

What you'll be doing

Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications

Expertly operate TIG welding equipment to fabricate high-quality light gauge metal components

Carry out metal cutting, bending, folding and other shaping processes to prepare components for assembly

Assemble fabricated components into completed products

Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working order

Liaise with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety

What we're looking for

Formal qualification in Light Gauge Boilermaking or Sheet Metal Fabrication

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar TIG welding and light gauge fabrication role

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications

Proven proficiency in the use of TIG welding equipment and various metal forming tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
