About the Role – Make a Real Difference Every Day

We’re looking for a passionate Child and Family Practitioner to join our team and deliver flexible, outreach-based support to children and families.

In this role, you’ll provide holistic, compassionate support to children and families who need it most. Using a trauma-informed approach, you’ll help families feel heard, safe, and empowered — building strong relationships and guiding them toward a better future.

  • Level 5 SCHCADS Award.
  • Salary range: $97,378 – $101,788 + Superannuation.
  • Permanent full time position.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide trauma-informed, one-on-one support to children and families in their homes or communities.
  • Help complete psycho-social assessments and create tailored support plans.
  • Coordinate services and connect families with the support networks they need.
  • Share helpful education and tools with carers to build strong, safe environments for kids.

What You’ll Bring

  • A degree in social work, psychology, human services, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years’ experience supporting kids and families impacted by trauma, or 5+ years in a similar role
  • Specialist knowledge in at least one key area like attachment, mental health, child development, or DFV.
  • Understanding how trauma impacts child development and how to assess their wellbeing and needs.

Other Things You’ll Need

  • A current Working with Children Check (or eligible for professional exemption).
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • The legal right to work in Australia (proof of eligibility required).
