Are you a skilled Metal Machinist ready to take on exciting challenges in the heart of Sulzer's Maitland Service Centre? We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence in mechanical machining.

Role Highlights:

• 💡 Work on cutting-edge projects with a global industry leader.
• 🛠️ Utilize manual lathes up to our 100t lathe, with training provided.
• 📐 Read and interpret mechanical drawings with precision.
• 🔄 Disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment in alignment with QA procedures.
• 🔧 Repair or replace components such as shafts, gears, seals, impellers, and more.
• 🚀 Collaborate with a talented team in a safety-conscious environment.
• 📏 Use measuring equipment and maintain accurate check sheets.

What you will be doing day to day:

• ✔️ Follow strict safety procedures and use appropriate protective gear.
• ✔️ Utilize manual lathes up to 100t, with comprehensive training provided.
• ✔️ Operate milling machines and borers proficiently.
• ✔️ Read and understand complex mechanical drawings.
• ✔️ Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical assemblies.
• ✔️ Lift, tighten, adjust, and secure heavy objects as required.

What you will bring to Sulzer:

• 🎓 Trade Certificate III Fitter and Turner.
• 🛠️ Experience in mechanical machining of large equipment (pumps, fans, gearboxes, turbines).
• 🤝 Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• 🔄 Proven ability to work in accordance with quality assurance procedures.
