PPT Respiratory Scientist

At North Brisbane Sleep & Thoracic, we pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive respiratory and sleep service. With Specialist Thoracic Physician consultations and advanced Respiratory and Sleep investigations, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a Part -Time Respiratory Scientist.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting a range of pulmonary function tests, including spirometry, DLCO, body plethysmography, FeNO, and 6-minute walk testing.
• Ensuring that all practices and procedures adhere to the guidelines set forth by the American Thoracic Society (ATS), European Respiratory Society (ERS), and Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ).
• Staying up to date on advances in respiratory science and updating documentation accordingly.
• Ensuring routine quality control testing is conducted to maintain high quality data output.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and practice efficiency.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with NBST privacy regulations
• Working alongside the practice manager to manage the ordering of respiratory consumables.

Mandatory requirements:

• A qualification (Bachelor’s degree or higher) in science or a related field is desirable.
• Previous hands-on experience conducting lung function tests on patients is desirable.
• Thorough understanding of ATS/ERS technical standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.

Availability:

• Up to 4 days per week (8:30am – 4:30pm) roster depending.
• Ability to work at both North Lakes and Clayfield clinics.
