You’ll work closely with colleagues in Finance, Risk & Compliance, and technology teams, and be a key player in regulatory engagement and audit coordination.
In a typical day, you’ll get to:
- Prepare and submit accurate, timely, and verifiable regulatory reports in line with APRA and internal deadlines.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of regulatory data to provide insights on capital and risk management.
- Manage the integration of new or changing regulatory requirements into existing frameworks.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests from APRA, ensuring completeness and precision.
- Work cross-functionally to continuously improve the regulatory reporting framework and controls.
- Undertake trend and variance analysis to support strategic capital and risk decisions.
- Maintain accurate and current process documentation for all reporting obligations.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring alignment with compliance obligations.
- Manage user access and submissions in APRA systems (D2A, Connect).
- Support the APRA Liaison Officer in regulatory engagement activities.
About you
- A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in regulatory reporting within banking or financial services with a strong track record of preparing complex reports and responding to changing regulatory environments.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to uplift process and control frameworks.
- Deep understanding of APRA regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Meticulous attention to detail and high accuracy in data handling.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with data visualisation or reporting tools is a plus.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Why join us?
- For-purpose, a bank committed to helping its Members and their community.
- Impactful work that will genuinely make a difference to the lives of our Members!
- Work with values-driven leaders, who actively develop talent and support you to grow your career. In an environment that you are empowered to Be Bold. Be Different. Be Sustainable. Be YOU!
- Work-life balance and flexibility, so you can work in a way that best suits you and supports your commitments outside of work. Family friendly parental leave, and paid superannuation up to 52 weeks.
- Hybrid working from our state-of-the-art offices to connect and collaborate, as well as focused time at home.
