The Opportunity

This is an APS6 opportunity available as either a 12-month non-ongoing contract or a Section 26 transfer.

The role focuses on supporting and standardising a growing suite of data pipelines.

You’ll work in a cloud-native environment (Azure Databricks, Python, GitHub) to ensure data pipelines are clean, efficient, and reliably feeding directly into key reporting tools such as Power BI.

The Role

• Support the team by updating, fixing, and building data pipelines
• Pipelines follow the bronze–silver–gold architecture; some are mid-stage and need standardisation
• Work is done in Databricks on Azure, with Python, version-controlled via GitHub
• Outputs support Power BI reporting
• Work alongside technical and domain experts familiar with data quirks

The Ideal Person

This role will suit either a data analyst with excellent Python skills transitioning into data engineering or an existing data engineer who can engage across a broad range of stakeholders.

Due to the nature of the data you will be working with, a background or interest in, or the desire to learn more about environmental or scientific fields is desirable.

Australian citizenship is mandatory.

Salary / Rate

• $100k - $110k + 15.4% Super
