ECU’s Nutrition & Health Innovation Research Institute (NHIRI) is on a mission to improve lives through better nutrition and healthier lifestyles. We bring together researchers, clinicians, and community partners to develop real-world solutions that empower individuals and communities to thrive.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Research Institute Officer to help keep our programs running smoothly and our impact visible. This role is central to the everyday success of the Institute and is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and making a difference.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to keep NHIRI operations running smoothly
- Assist with engaging communication to a wide range of stakeholders
- Coordinate and prepare materials for meetings, workshops, and events
- Help create promotional and participant recruitment content
- Maintain up-to-date procedures and internal documentation
- Manage Institute membership records with accuracy and care
- Keep NHIRI’s website and related online content current, relevant, and informative
- Support procurement and financial tasks, including credit card reconciliation
- Work independently and collaboratively as a valued member of the NHIRI team
What You’ll Bring:
- Solid experience in a diverse admin support role
- Familiarity with tools like Oracle, WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, and the Microsoft Office suite
- A sharp eye for detail and a flair for creative problem solving
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

Benefits & Remuneration
This part time fixed term position attracts remuneration of pro-rata $81,614 - $90,691 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
