Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests, ensuring an exceptional first impression and continued premium service throughout their visit.

Provide detailed product knowledge, including menu explanations, wine pairings, and German beer culture, offering recommendations tailored to guest preferences.

Manage a designated section, ensuring all tables receive attentive, efficient, and personalized service.

Maintain a deep understanding of Hofbräuhaus’ curated wine and beer list, including seasonal offerings and special imports.

Supervise and mentor junior waitstaff when required, ensuring consistency in service delivery across the venue.

Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages.

Uphold and enforce Hofbräuhaus Melbourne’s high standards of presentation, hygiene, and workplace safety.

Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.

Participate actively in training sessions to maintain up-to-date product and service knowledge.

Essential Skills and Experience

Minimum of 1 year experience in a premium dining environment or high-end hospitality venue.

Advanced food and beverage service skills, including fine dining etiquette and wine/beer pairing knowledge.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Competency in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems (Lightspeed experience highly regarded).

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Wine and/or beer sommelier certification is highly regarded but not essential.
