Section Waiter – Fun Dining | a’Mare, Crown Sydney

Love Italian food, great service, and working with a passionate team? We’re looking for an experienced Section Waiter to join us at a’Mare — one of Sydney’s most exciting fine-dining restaurants located at Crown Sydney.

Essential requirements:

Australian working rights

Current NSW RSA certificate

Fluent English proficiency

Formal hospitality qualifications

18-36 months’ experience in a premium dining setting

Positive attitude and strong customer service skills

Knowledge of Italian food & wine

Experience with food & wine pairing

Familiarity with SevenRooms or similar reservation platforms

Bonus Points If You Speak Italian!

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage your section during service, ensuring an exceptional guest experience

• Prepare your section for service—fully stocked, clean, and guest-ready

• Use Micros POS for order management

• Provide expert menu recommendations and explain our food philosophy

• Offer food & wine pairing suggestions

• Take accurate customer orders and check for dietary requirements

• Maintain open communication with FOH & BOH teams to streamline service

• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meal & experience

• Ensure billing accuracy and present checks professionally

• Process cash & card payments
