Robata is a gem of Melbourne's restaurant scene, and undoubtedly one of Melbourne's finest Japanese grillhouse restaurants. Sitting at the foot of the Flinders & Exhibition Sts, our prime location means that the CBD is on your doorstep when it’s time to treat yourself in town!

As a Full-Time Bartender, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service in our high-energy venue, ensuring every guest has a great experience. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills in beverage service, sales, and hospitality, with room for growth within our restaurant group. You’ll be responsible for engaging with customers, preparing and serving drinks to a high standard, and confidently upselling to enhance the guest experience.

Think you’ve got what it takes?

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience in a premium bar or restaurant environment, with a strong understanding of beverage service and customer interaction.

Willingness to be cross-trained across both bar and front-of-house operations.

Ability to work independently, confidently serve drinks, operate a POS system, and handle transactions accurately.

Strong upselling skills and a passion for creating great customer experiences.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high service standards.
