About the role

We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join our team at the Australian Workers' Union in Mawson Lakes, SA. This is a contract position that may lead to Full time employment. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial and administrative support to our organisation. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions are properly documented

Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner

Preparing monthly financial reports and reconciliations

Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and financial statements

Providing administrative support to the Administration and Membership team as needed

Adhering to all relevant financial policies and procedures

Processing weekly wages including lodging ATO/PAYG and BAS payments

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or finance

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar finance administrator or accounts clerk role

Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures

Proficient in the use of accounting and payroll software and Microsoft Office suite

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Great communication and interpersonal skills
